My business used to be profitable, however the economy has not been doing great lately. I started cutting down overhead costs through having the first floor rented by another company. Then later, I had to remove some people who have redundant work. I love my employees but I didn’t have a choice because the company had to survive. I gave them a good separation pay nonetheless because I know that they have families as well. Then later on I decided to sell used test equipment. Months later, I found our company selling our used cisco equipment. Those were the hardest months of our company as I felt that there’s no way I’d be able to save my company. I didn’t want them to leave the company without having anything in their pockets. The economy totally hit our company and I’m hoping one day I can still put up another one. My family has suffered a lot. Besides losing our company we also lost our estate. Yes, we were one of the many who lost everything. But I believe that everything has a reason and God has a plan for our family. What matters to me now is our family is intact and we can survive all these trials. We just know that for sure. I still have the courage to think positive because there’s no other way to do it. As any economists would say, the only way one economy will go is for it to go up. And I definitely believe on that. For now, I’m enjoying my family life. Right now is the best time to catch up on the lost time and be there for them. We have our way of entertaining ourselves without spending too much. As it’s a lesson to spend quality time with each family member.
